Breathe.

I saw him yesterday
and now all that I can say,
at least he looks happy.

I'd never seen a man,
well never ever one like him,
he smiled by her side.

Hand in hand of course
their eyes locked like gravity,
I wanted to be like her.

I remember when he walked
those same footsteps but,
I was the one beside him.

My heart dropped to the floor
people stared like I'd lost my breath,
I lost way more than that.

Closing my eyes didn't help
so I tried everything to pretend,
but I couldn't erase what I'd seen.

Nothing was more important
than being close to him again,
but he held her closer.

I couldn't feel anything anymore
and I felt my heart fall on the floor,
all I could do was breathe.

Pfffffffft, in a year or so, when you are with Mr. Better-Than-He-Ever-Thought_About-Being, signing your books, and your wrist is sore from signing autographs, he'll come up to you with that same girl (whose hair will look like crap, and who will clearly be in the throes of end-stage combination skin) and you will say, oh yes, you, what was your name again?

Hehehehehe. ;-)
